相較之下，香港這個只比臺南大一點點的城市，
卻仍保有80間以上的獨立書店。

什麼是獨立書店？為什麼在電子時代，我們還需要獨立書店？
臺灣第一間獨立書店又是怎麼出現的？

一場全新的紀錄劇場作品將為你揭開答案。本劇將呈現一連串深入田野調查的獨立書店實況，包括臺灣個案的深度探索，並將鄰近地區如香港的相關案例納入對照。

現身說法、確實數據一一呈現在文化古都臺南的舞台上，誠實反映獨立書店對社會、或對個人的意義。現在，快帶著一本書，跟我們一起探討為什麼需要(或已不再需要)獨立書店。

There are nearly 30 independent bookstores in Tainan, and only about 200 left in Taiwan as a whole.  Hong Kong, which is only slightly larger than Tainan, has over 80 independent bookstores.

Isoleighbourland Theatre's brand-new production is the first documentary theater piece to explore "independent bookstores." The performance will present a series of findings from fieldwork on independent bookstores, including in-depth exploration of cases in Taiwan and comparative cases from neighboring regions. The people involved will speak for themselves, using concrete data to answer the question of why we need (or no longer need) independent bookstores in the cultural capital of Tainan.
